Season 2 Page 2  Page 2
  Back to SD

In "Passage, Part II" in Season 2, Jack, Syd, and Irina are fighting PRF rebels (maybe, I forget) in a mine field and Jack gets shot in the chest. When the bullet hits him, we see a reddish bullet wound before he falls back. Problem is, as we later find out, he was wearing a black bullet-proof vest under a black jacket (no red clothing), so the bullet never punctured his flesh. Why would he have a bullet wound if he was clearly never wounded?

Noticed by Jennie. Thanks!

[...] from season 2. episode 12, "The Getaway" When Sydney and Vaughn go on their first date in France at the Rousseau Restaurant and they are identified by Ariana Kane's men, they start running out the back. As they are running down the steps and into the alley, Sydney is definitely wearing black sneakers. As they are caught, and told to put their hands up, you notice that Syd is wearing black boots, that are at least 3 inches high! There is no way anyone could run that fast without breaking an ankle or at least breaking the heel off.

Noticed by Steph, Vartan Ho #2512. Thanks!

[...] from the episode Countdown.Vaughn and Jack were having a discussion about whether or not Dixon should be removed from the field. Jack told Vaughn he had been working with Dixon for 7 (?) years, but Jack only started at the SD-6 at Credit Dauphine after Syd found out the truth. So he wouldn't have really worked with Dixon for that long.

Noticed by Molly, Vartan Ho #1133. Thanks!

In the A Dark Turn, I thought they were making the exchange in Panama. However, the CIA vans have Montana license plates and, even worse, they drive past a large water tower-like structure that says "Los Angeles" pretty clearly.

Also, the red doors that Irina passes her UN credentials through in China earlier in that episode get reused over and over ... they're in the monastery in Nepal that Sloane visits in Second Double, and I've caught them in the background of that torture room in Hong Kong.

Noticed by jcbrai. Thanks!

In the second last ep of season 2, Second Double, when EvilFrancie is on the phone to Sark talking about how Syd confessed to her she worked at the CIA... little does miss know it all know, but she has the phone upside down!

Noticed by Lauren, Vartan Ho #1879 . Thanks!

Hey I found a new blooper for "A Dark Turn!" When Syd and Vaughn are playing hockey there is a Canadian flag on the wall. In the closeups the flag is facing one direction and in the long shots it's facing the other!

Noticed by Missy, Vartan Ho #1879 . Thanks!

In "The Getaway" (2.12), Vaughn and Sydney are supposed to have dinner in a restaurant in Nice. Well, the photo shown (the pink and yellow tower) is actually a pic from Saint Tropez, another city on the Mediterranean Sea, well known for welcoming TV and cinema stars in France.

Noticed by Carmina2000. Thanks!

In Dead Drop, when Sydney goes to Moscow, Marshall tells her to use the 3rd medal to access the computer, but Sydney uses the 4th key when she is there.

Noticed by Stacy. Thanks!

Hey! I was watching Ep 2.10 The Abduction and found a blooper. When Sydney and Dixon go to rescue Marshall in Mexico, Sydney has a pair glasses on while she is dancing through the crowd, shooting the rope over to the other building and then attaching it to her waist. After she zips along the cable over to the building next door and climbs over the ledge, the glasses are no longer there...

Noticed by Deborah. Thanks!

In "Second Double," we see Sydney spray champagne all over Vaughn's outfit and he goes off to distract the guards in Marseilles, but when he comes back to change into his mission gear his clothes look dry.
Also when Jack gives her the remote and Syd and Vaughn view the surveillance tape of them about to make love, it shows her taking off the white camisole top, but if I remember correctly (and I believe I do), Vaughn was the one who took it off.

Noticed by Lisa, Vartan Ho #1523. Thanks!

In episode 2.13 ("Phase One"), when Kendall is explaining the plot of the show to the CIA agents, he points to a screen that shows a map of all of the 12 SD cells. When text boxes pop up to reveal the location of each cell, one reads "SD-6: Tripoli, Libya". The next one reads "SD-6: Los Angeles". Perhaps it meant to read "SD-5: Tripoli, Libya"?

Noticed by Sarah, Vartan Ho #370. Thanks!

In 2.07, Counteragent, Syd visits Vaughn in the hospital. At first he is wearing an oxygen tube in his nose (See here.) while Syd is holding his hand. Syd replaces the protective plastic and suddlenly (sic) the oxygen is gone! (See here.) Did Syd accidentaly pull it off?

Noticed by gaia13. Thanks!

In "Endgame", when Syd calls Weiss on his cell to talk to Vaughn, Weiss throws the phone at Vaughn, who catches it with his left hand. He then puts the phone up to his left ear to talk to Syd. Then the camera goes for a close up, and he has the phone on his right ear. If this is supposed to be instantanous, would he have had time to change ears? Also, until the time he realizes she's talking code, he has the phone to his right ear. But when he stands up and asks Weiss for a pen, it's back on his left ear, and he's having to hold the phone with his right hand as he writes the message. This time, he keeps the phone in his right hand as he grabs his jacket and puts it on, then the phone is mysteriously back in his left hand for him to throw at Weiss as he is leaving.

Noticed by Lynne, Vartan Ho #1342. Thanks!

In "Truth Takes Time," when Sydney and Vaughn are trying to decode the earrings message, Sydney rattles of the letters "K," "E," "T." Then Vaughn says "that's another T." But the first three letters Sydney writes on the paper are KEST.

Noticed by Lisa. Thanks!

In Phase One, Kendall tells Syd, Vaughn and Jack that there is 150 pounds of C-4 buried in the subbasement of SD-6. Look back into The Box Part One last season, Jack tells Syd that there's 500 pounds of C-4 buried in the subbasement... and we thought that those executives knew practically everything going on in SD-6...

Noticed by Deborah. Thanks!

Apparently Will doesn't need to look at classified documents to memorize global positioning codes. When Evil Francie is getting Will to talk in his sleep, he sees flashes of the screen he has been working on.
Look here.
He reads the first set of codes wrong. He repeats the first section as X48471, even though the screen says X8471. Later on in the episode with on Jack's computer, we find out that the correct code was X48471.
Look here. Will's an all knowing god.

Noticed by Nicole. Thanks!

In "A Dark Turn", Jack and Irina are sent to Panama in order to set up a trap (supposedly) for Arvin Sloane. As the mission starts to go awry and Irina is escaping in Sark's limo, she looks up out the window. The camera takes a pan of a towerlike structure they're driving by and then cuts back to Irina, who appears to be studying it intently...and who could blame her? I'd be pretty confused too if I'm supposed to be in Panama and a tower I drive by prominently displayed the sign: Los Angeles Export Terminal.

Noticed by RocknVaughn, Vartan Ho #34. Thanks!

In 2.13 (Phase One), when Sydney is attempting to choke ugly-shrimp-eating-fat plane boy, at the point where she's saying "This isn't my first day on the job - I disconnected your call button!" you can see the wall behind her and that the Terminal to access Server 47 is already turned around., Guess she didn't need to go to all the trouble of asking, did she? Well, maybe so, because in all other shots until she physically turns it, the ugly picture side is facing the room.

Noticed by Lindie, Vartan Ho#426. Thanks!

In "Firebomb," when Vaughn walks into the bathroom carrying the wine glass, it's pretty full. However, when he hands it to Sydney it looks like there's only a couple of swallows in it. She takes a sip and hands it back to him and it looks to be pretty full again.

Noticed by Lisa. Thanks!

In Firebomb while Syd is being interrogated she is wearing her black tank top. When Vaughn and Dixon rescue her and they are leaving the house she all of a sudden has her black jacket on.

Noticed by keenie82. Thanks!

In rewatching "Firebomb", I noticed that as Syd is breaking into Kabir's house, Vaughn tells her to take a right at the bottom of the stairs. Super spy that she is, she takes a left and discovers no door!!

Noticed by missadee. Thanks!

In 2.04...That guy that Syd took the oxygen from is supposed to be dead, right? Well, when she takes his gun, he sort of floats away, and just as the shot changes, he moves his hand to stop himself from hitting the wall.

In 2.10, when Suit and Glasses is looking through his telescope-y thing at Syd and Marshall, Syd's shoulders are bare. Then, the camera angle changes, and Sydney has that little black thing over her shoulders.

Noticed by Charley. Thanks!

Hot damn. I knew Super Spy Sydney Bristow was talented, but I never knew she could open doors without turning the doorknob, the like does for her AC/DC striptease walk in the opening seconds of 2.13 (Phase One).

Noticed by Lindie, Vartan Ho #426. Thanks!

Hi there! I noticed a blooper in the "Free Agent," episode! When Syd and Vaughn rescue the mom and child, Sydney is hugging the mom while Vaughn picks up the kid and they start to leave the bathroom. Next camera angle, the mom is holding the kid while Vaughn and Sydney follow behind them. Vaughn must have really thrown that kid at his mom for her to be holding the him that fast!

Noticed by Kristin . Thanks!

Dixon asked Sydney how long she has known about SD-6 and she said two years. A few eps back, I think it was "A Higher Eschelon" Syd told Francie about "Michael" and that she's been working with him for a year. She took four(?) months off before working with the CIA so we're still missing 8 months somewhere!

Noticed by Sharon, Vartan Ho #1168. Thanks!

In A Free Agent, when Sydney and Vaughn are in bed talking, she has a few strands of hair running down her back. After he says "When the hell did you have time to take a class this year?" they flash back to her and there is much more hair hanging down her back.

Also, when Syd is uploading the data from the flight data recorder and is about to leave, the airplane mechanic comes in and asks for her ID badge. She shows it to him and then drops it on the ground. However when she jumps out of the aircraft she is still wearing it clipped to her jumpsuit. She also has it on when she gets in the SUV.

Noticed by Lisa. Thanks!

The pushthrough in episode 2.14, "Double Agent", said CAYO CANCHA. When Lennox 2 (the non-Syd partner one) called from the Jeep, he said CANCHA CAYO. Either Lennox 2 or the production team got this wrong.

Noticed by Sarah, Vartan Ho #370. Thanks!

[Double Agent] In yet another editing oversight, syd proves that superspies can move at lightning speed when nervously telling their best friend that their secret crush is not so secret anymore. When Vaughn meets evil!francie, syd stands behind him and points giddily at him, indicating to evil!francie that "it's him!" So, we see Syd with her hand up and pointing at Vaughn's head and then quickly dropping it. Quickly, the angle changes to the Francinator where we see Syd from behind and her hand is all of a sudden up again. Cut back to Syd's face and her hand is at her side again. Very small but I can't get it out of my mind!

Noticed by AgentBlue, Vho #1059. Thanks!

[In Phase One] The pushthrough for the airplane scene says "Over the Atlantic", and Sydney says they'll "be at Heathrow in an hour". So, when she puts on the parachute, balls up, and flies out the door, and as Vaughn breathes "Oh, my God..." they show Sydney's parachute open. When they show her floating down, we see below her... land, and lots of it.

Noticed by RocknVaughn, Vartan Ho #34. Thanks!

[Both from Phase One] When Syd and Vaughn put their masks on just before they storm SD-6, the masks are not on straight (especially Syd's; Vaughn's a little low on his face). When we see them during the raid, the masks are in perfect position. Did they adjust them during combat!

When Syd rushes in to the torture room, her hair is messed up and across her face. As bad guy reaches for his gun, she fires her first shot.... hair is perfect and off her face. As shots 2, 3, 4, 5 are fired, her hair is back on her face. When he goes down and we see her again, her hair is back in place.

Noticed by Naila, Vartan Ho #911. Thanks!

[In Phase One] When Gieger calls [McCullough] in to have him replay the email of Sloanes he tells [McCullough] to sit down and it cuts to a shot of the email...if u look quick the whole email is already there and if u look in the middle of the screen all the way to the left it already shows the typed out words 'Jack and Sydney Bristow are double agents.' If it was already there why did he need [McCullough] to play it back? Somebody editing this episode made a big UhOh!

Noticed by thinstuf. Thanks!

I really liked Syd's corduroy outfit in "Phase One", so I looked at screencaps. They showed Sydney just putting it over top of her little red number, but then when she's kickin' butt on the plane, it's obvious that she somehow now has a tan shirt poking out from underneath.

Noticed by Bluebird47. Thanks!

In the movie "Spy Games" Brad Pitt plays a Cold War CIA spy whose call sign is Boy Scout (just like our Vaughn). Boy Scout Brad has to stop during an op at a German restaurant called Eck Bar. This is the SAME restaurant (exterior shot) that Boy Scout Vaughn takes Sydney to dinner at in 02.12 The Getaway (though Vaughn say's it's called Rousseau and located in Nice, France). Hmm...Boy Scout Brad Pitt or Boy Scout Michael Vartan...decisions, decisions.

Noticed by Rachelle, Vartan Ho #848. Thanks!

Last week [The Getaway], Weiss returned, saying he had been in the hospital for 3 months. So therefore, it must have been 3 months in the Alias world since the season premiere.

Last night Francie and Will were celebrating her restaurant making a profit after only six months... but Francie opened her restaurant in episode five, which is a little earlier than the halfway point between the season premiere and last week's episode... to be generous we can give it 2 months.

So did four months elapse between last week (The Getaway) and last night (Phase One)? Seems to me the editors have got a bit of a Rip Van Winkle complex. :)

Noticed by Kerry, Vartan Ho #394. Thanks!

[Double Agent] When Sydney is lying in bed with Vaughn and he is kissing her stomach, her blouse is off and she is wearing a sleeveless white top, however, when he takes the shirt off of her, it looks to be a thin camisole with spaghetti straps. C'mon you shippers, was I the only one who noticed that? Or perhaps I have watched it too much. Wait . . . don't answer that.

Noticed by Lisa . Thanks!

Lots of hair bloopers in this ep. First, while Sydney is telling Dixon the truth, she has a piece of hair hanging from the left side of her face. As the camera pans back and forth, the hair mysteriously is fixed, then back hanging again over and over.

And later, just before the raid on SD-6 in Phase One, Sydney puts on her ski-mask, which leaves her straight hair peeking out from the bottom. As she's running down one hallway, her hair is completely concealed. They turn down another hallway and you can see it again.

Noticed by Kate, Vartan Ho #1.

For 2.13 "Phase One."First of all, Syd's hair... when she was talking to Dixon... from one angle she had a piece of hair sticking out on the left side... from another... it was tucked behind her ear.

Two: While waiting for Dixon's e-mail Syd not once, but twice moved her hand to her cheek. From one angle it was on her cheek... Then the angle switched and it was off... so she put it back on.

Noticed by Esselle, Vartan Ho #496. Thanks! : )

So, in the last exchange between Irina and Jack in 'Getaway', they're discussing the suspicious Ariana Kane situation. Well, at one point, Irina does the signature hair thing where she tucks it behind her ear. A few strands escape though. No biggie there. The shot goes to Jack for a moment and then back to Irina. That piece of hair is no longer in her face but behind the ear! And then, the camera goes back to Jack and then back to Irina and the hair is loose again! I think it happens several times during the conversation.

Noticed by AgentBlue, Vartan Ho #1059. Thanks! : )

I love this site! I also think i saw a blooper but my eyes might be playing tricks on me. In Cipher when Syd left after the launch I did not see her breifcase luge that she had walked in with.

Noticed by Mountaineer. Thanks! : )

In the last shot of Jack & Irina in her cell [The Getaway], there are food container in the corner of the table, near Irina's arm. However, in the shots before, the containers are not there.

Noticed by Toria. Thanks! : )

[In the Getaway], when Kane's men were searching for Vaughn's identity on the computer, would the computer have really brought up his library and gym membership card? I thought they were in the DMV records.

Noticed by Lisa. Thanks! : )
